Why have we never worn masks during flu season then if they work so well?
Great question. In some countries...they do. But, this virus is new...and our immune systems don't know how to handle it. Unlike flu which rarely causes ARDS (a severe inflammatory response in the lungs that can lead to respiratory failure and death), this bug causes that response at a much higher rate. With no immunity...and no vaccine to induce immunity, there are no real weapons to fight it off...so better to prevent it.

False. 80% of people who’ve never had Covid 19 can mount an immune response to it.

That explains the absurdly high asymptomatic rates and the fact that less than 20% of passengers on cruise ships and military vessels became infected after being unknowingly exposed for days.

Wut the hell are you talking about? Death is death.

Conclusion. CDC estimates that influenza was associated with more than 35.5 million illnesses, more than 16.5 million medical visits, 490,600 hospitalizations, and 34,200 deaths during the 2018–2019 influenza season
2015 – 2016 280,000 23,000
2016 – 2017 500,000 38,000
2017 – 2018* 810,000 61,000
There's over 100,000 deaths in just the last 3 years here in the U.S.
Again, wtf you talking about?
