Houston Golf Baws-Driving range?

I’ll be staying near the Galleria for the next couple of nights. Are there any decent public courses with driving ranges or stand alone ranges that I might be able to go whack some balls and drink a beer not too far from there?
Normally, I’d just go hit up Lochinvar or Champions, but they make such a fuss when I’m there. I don’t want to put them out for just a range session.

Marti Golf Center might be the closest true driving range.
Hermann Park has one, but only off mats.
Not sure about Memorial. I think they are open, but again, hitting off mats.

Memorial is closer and much nicer if you want to hit off mats.
5050 Acorn street is a little further and has grass, although shitty grass most of the time. But a laid back atmosphere and beer buckets.

Ended up just booking an afternoon tee time at Memorial. Been wanting to check out the Doak Renovation anyway. Thanks for the info!
