A lady was telling my ex to give him CPR.... He called 911 instead.

Fun fact. CPR looks good on TV but doesn't do shite for trauma. His heart didn't stop because of an arrythmia or too many cheeseburgers. His heart stopped because:

A. He is out of blood to circulate and oxygenate the heart muscles.

B. He is shot in the brain and the heart is no longer receiving the impulses to beat.

CPR doesn't fix either of those things. That's why you don't give CPR in a trauma setting. CPR does work for drownings, electrocutions and some other conditions though. So you give it when you don't know what happened before you got there. But not in a gunshot wound to the head with brains all over the front seat of the car situation.

He was crawling across the road and screaming. He said, “Lady, he’s breathing!”
