Graco is the way to go.
I used a bunch of these over the years...
...because they're cheap and a better option than brushing and rolling on most projects. However, they clog easily and splatter all the time. I threw 2 of them away a couple of months ago and bought this bad boy...
...GAME CHANGER!! If you can justify the cost it's worth it.
ETA Regarding your question about overspray--its minimal and honestly better control than the handheld sprayers. I haven't used it inside yet. You would obviously have to protect some surfaces. How much all depends on your skill level.
