This is why getting health and fitness info from a forum is a minefield. Currently, this post has an 8 to 1 upvote ratio and it is factually wrong.

This is false

It is well documented that while artificial sweeteners don't raise your blood sugar, they can increase insulin resistance. The body secretes insulin on the basis of an anticipated glucose load when you taste something sweet.
