I hear you but that really makes no sense to me.
We're going to give up pieces and draft picks to get FVV, when in reality, we could give up 1 more(Jrue Holiday) and the other guys you listed(JJ/Zo) to other teams for assets, then become a below cap team and sign FVV.
So essentially, we'd get a shite ton more assets to go with FVV as opposed to giving up assets to get FVV.

Who will you find to take Jrue into cap space? You gave Miami as an example, however they won't have the space for that move until 2021. Same goes for JJ, to get him to any contending team we have to take back matching salary, which still keeps us in the same spot we are currently in.
And with a trade like that we aren't really giving up any assets, we are basically just getting Van Vleet as our 13th pick instead of a rookie. We then get a backup SF (likely to be sent out in a separate trade) with another future asset that's likely to come post Kyrie/KD, #8, and another future 1st for a guy we likely won't re-sign in Ball.
