Just had two acres hogged for my food plots. How long after spraying can I seed?

If it's just regular roundup, and not the "extended control", you can plant immediately.

Roundup doesn't affect seed germination.

If it’s regular roundup you can seed and spray at same time.

Immediately. You can actually plant and then spray as long as your seed hasn’t emerged.

If the weeds around my place are any indication you ought to plant and douse the seeds with roundup....it is more of a fertilizer around my place than it is herbicide....I can spray it on a weed and you can hear the weeds giggling with delight...get a drop on a blade of grass or a shrub though and boy does it work like magic....

If you are planning to spray what you just Bush hogged, you might want to give it 10-14 days so it can get some new growth.

If you sprayed today I would give 10days so that it really gets to the root. Say what you want do what you want but that round up really takes a couple days to burn down. Now that glyphosphate from TSC. That shite burns down stuff like I ain’t ever seen

It may take that long to work on live vegetation but it won’t affect seeds at all.

Roundup is systemically absorbed thru foliage. So ya can plant seeds before , during , after spraying ; don’t spray after seeds germinate. Spray and wait till foliage get wilted and brown. Definitely if ya disc- harrow wait until it’s brown and going down so roots are decaying- - makes it much easier .

Some people suggest not spraying with round up this late as perennial foot plot grasses (that would grow from previous year's plantings) may get killed off.

IDK?
