Didn't stop the director of Tombstone. Spent time pushing the 'Equal Work Equal Pay' thing also, though I'm betting that wasn't a big issue in the 1840s.

Tombstone was based on reality, however loosely, and Curly Bill Brocius really was gay.

The sherif deputy who was gay? That may have been a frick you from the Earp family considering that person wrote an unflattering book about them in real life.
