My interest sways throughout the year. Right now, Im thinking about golf 24/7 if I’m not playing. Sometimes for months at a time I’ll completely lose interest in the game, won’t touch a club, watch golf or keep up with it in any manor. It’s like it completely disappears from my mind.

I would call myself a fair weather golfer but I often find myself playing in the cold and extreme heat as well. It’s totally random and I just let it happen.

Completely agree w the above post. Going w the flow is one of the biggest mental elements to reaching a deeper understanding of the game.
If your gut tells you to take a break, do it. There will be no long lasting harm done.
On the other hand, if you get the idea after a month of grinding it out on the driving range that if you keep up this fanatical work ethic you will, indeed, (as you always suspected) be able to qualify for the Senior Tour, then to hell w work, family, relationships....dive in head first
