Before I tell you, tell me what existing flooring materials would contain asbestos?
12X12 and mastic
9X9 and mastic
Leveling compound (if used)
Carpet mastic
All are considered suspect materials that should be inspected prior to removal by anyone besides a homeowner and before the 10day notification is sent to the LDEQ

What makes it stressful?
Running my own business is stressful because there is no steady check so the hard times are very hard. When I’m on a good run, though, I feel like I’m on top of the world. It’s a very up and down business. First three weeks of June were horrible and then in the final week of the month, I made almost $7,000.
And to the poster who called what I do “theft”, it’s no different from selling flooring. I have a product that others seek out and purchase. frick me for making a living off of their bad choice to not buy life insurance earlier in life when it would be much cheaper. I supply the product that they need. I don’t twist their arm to buy it.
Capitalism, mother fricker!

So you are making $1800. Congrats
Not bad for about 15 minutes of work.
That's your insurance premium for the month. Better get back to the hustle quick.

We removed these while they were wet in 2016 flood. So I am good? We sent the ceiling tile off for testing before those were removed though (came back as no asbestos- home built in 70)
***sorry for the hijack Mud

Do a very good job.
Use quality materials.
Do it on time.
Leave the place clean and tidy...
And that job will sell 5 more just like it - or more.

So you sell life insurance? JFC you people are the worse
Are you one of those salespeople that make cold calls and just show up at people homes or offices unannounced or uninvited without an appointment?
Are you an S-Corp or self employed?

Only 9x9 good buddy. 12 by 12 were made after asbestos was discontinued.

Absolutely not. My setup costs me a lot of money each month and allows me to literally sit back and have people contact me instead of the other way around. Cold calling and showing up to peoples’ home is for the amateurs.

quote:why did you just turn this job down? Tulane is handing you business and you told he and Mother to go do it themselves?
Just buy the marble from floor and decor and find an installer to install it for 5 a sqft including demo.
Listen, Mother has money and Tulane is throwing you a bone. Take it! Coffee is for closers.

no one is calling around shopping for life insurance.
Life insurance salesmen don’t “sit back and wait for people to contact them”.
They are literally the worse. Worse than Jan from Account Services.

Well then the people who I do business with must be mythical.

12x12 not going to be asbestos. Glue probably not either. Smaller size tiles are your obvious issue. Most companies simply overlay if they are stuck well.... just sayin
