I think that's a pretty myopic way of looking at it. Not only are there plenty of people in all 3 states that will be voting for Trump, you just gave away America's West Coast. No more Pacific fleet. China can just align with this new country and use their ports and bases to wage a ground war against us in our own country.

Is the California Navy going to take on the US Navy for those ports?

The US would block Long Beach and nothing would come or go and people that aren't bat shite crazy would flee those states in droves.

It would be shorter than the Civil War.

The only state where Trump received more votes than he did in California was Florida. There are plenty of patriots there. Just a shame they are outnumbered

Alaska still exists. And the Pacific Fleet is based out of Pearl Harbor anyways.

If CA secedes, US would keep its military bases. We still have Gitmo, right?

Same with National Parks and other federally owned property.
