Sounds crazy to most but it might be a good time to snag one of these if you're an average Joe and want hard assets

I would NEVER suggest a watch even the most collectible ones and certainly not anything new as a true "investment". The market has serious volatility. If the economy goes to shite then you won't be getting a premium for watches except the uber rare watches the uber rich since their buying power loss in a bear economy just means they only buy one jet this year not 2.
Buy a watch because you love it. If you want to make money on watches buckle down learn the trade and do short term flips but for most people the juice isn't worth the squeeze.

Go to Timezone website and look at the TZ Showcase subforum for pre-owned Rolexes for sale. If there is one you like, check up on the seller on a site called "Good Guys."
