Regardless, what does any of this have to do with Chase opting out for political reasons?

The timing is very suspect. He was at practice, working hard with his teammates and then 1 month before the season opener decides to opt out? C'mon. I respect Farrell and Vincent (no idea what happened with Thomas appears he transferred to UAB) for opting out early so the coaches could prepare. Now Shelvin opts out? Something's going on.
