Last time I played, greens were dead. What’s it looking like? Looking fo play Sunday. Copper Mill is also a possibility.

When did you play when the greens were dead? They've been in good shape for a while now.
The only issue is pace of play out there lately.

Played Carter last week. Greens rolled kinda slow. Pace of play is definitely a major issue there.
Played pelican point last week as well. Thought the greens rolled so much better than Carter

I played carter in March and it was in bad shape. I’ve played 3 times the last 6 weeks or so and it’s in very good shape. For a Louisiana course.

There was a time when they had solid marshals that would police this. And then they stopped.
Carter is a tremendous value to play at <$60 which you regularly can get on for. But not for a 5 and a half hour round.

pace of play is so bad out there because they double book tee times

Played Copper yesterday.
Course is really trying to make a come back. The Island closing has pushed a nice chunk of folks there. Hoping they can make it what it once was. Other than the greens being slow, the course looks good.

Just wished CM still had a range and practice area, I’d be there all the time

WHY ???
Is there that much demand for tee times there or is it just the locals that think they own the place. Seems like they could straighten that problem out.

It's probably due to the fact Greystone's greens have been in bad shape for a while and Carter is the only other nice course in the LP.
That said, I played Greystone on Wednesday and the greens are MUCH better than they've been. Still not 100% and a touch slow, but much better
