Except for the most hard-right on this board, the vast majority of Americans realize there are issues in our criminal justice system when it comes to race. They also realize the vast majority of our police officers, and others in the system, are good men and women.
So when are our politicians, athletes, actors, etc going to start actually proposing real, workable solutions? Solutions that actually both reduce crime and reduce systemic racism?
The athletes say they want to force changes. Fair enough. What are the actual changes they want? How are we going to pay for them and carry out those changes?
I'm not talking about the Antifa types or those who just want to watch the world burn. But for those who truly want change, I think they have a small window of time in which they can propose ideas and the vast majority of Americans will consider their ideas.
But if they don't start coming out with some concrete ideas, I think most Americans will start to tune them out.
The democrats didn't even take up Tim Scott's bill to the floor to be debated upon in the House. All of it was criminal justice reform. That tells me all I need to know.
