I'm not so sure. Americans really struggle with loss aversion and its too easy for either side to make hay about losses in healthcare financing. Even assuming Medicare for All worked perfectly, the transition costs associated with such a move would be TREMENDOUS. Hard to imagine it ever happening because the party who did it would spend a decade in the wilderness for doing it.
