I knew one of the business owners that was in there. The guy who owned White Star was an idiot then corona was the final straw that forced them to close for good. So yeah, thing of the past.

Horribly inaccurate.

I knew two vendor owners from White Star, both said their businesses were fine prior to covid. They were not making a fortune but they were able to get their businesses started for next to nothing. That's the whole point.

I have a friend in NoLA who sells products that are bought by vendors in several of the food halls in New Orleans. Said all are getting destroyed by the capacity restrictions of Phase 1, 2 etc.

If anything it looks like this food hall was right to close early on and cut its losses.

I think the place was overhyped and they definitely had issues keeping businesses in there. I think it could have survived for the remainder of the year but for covid. I don’t think it had much of a shelf life past that.

Government has improved greatly over the last ten years. However, many of these places will unfortunately shut down in the near future. I cannot see red stick social making it. Great concept with bad luck. Elsie’s will be fine. Radio bar will likely survive. Superior has been there forever and will survive. A few other places may make it. I’m not sure changing the structure of the street will have its desired affect.
