Honestly I don’t like it either. You always want to fill your depth up with superb young HS talent but with the transfers and JUCO systems that are available, it’s not so terrible if you miss. I’d rather LSU get the players they truly want and feel can play the position at a high level than to go after someone simply because of depth. If they can play then sure but if you can’t get that player to commit to your team then I don’t mind waiting another year and fill that void with a transfer or JUCO.
I’m really hoping that they have another 1-2 big time corners that they’re eyeing but with no HS football being played it’s tough to find those late bloomers. That’s what really sucks about this and last years classes. Everyone is sort of taking a shot in the dark on some of these guys. We may not end up with the best player and many of those players may end up going to some of these smaller schools because they develop later. It really is a tough deal for football in general.
