Not that I'm trying to defend the hire, but his contract was technically up at the end of the year and Roma has a bunch of injuries down the stretch.
The new owners of Roma then decided to make a splash hire with Mourinho.

Yeah, I realize he inherited a difficult situation at Roma with new ownership, but nothing about his managerial record gives me confidence. If this is Paratici's guy then you have to let him do his job and bring him in, but this is as uninspiring as it gets IMO.
Screams of someone who won't cost anything, won't demand anything from the club, and ultimately is just happy to get another job. I hope I'm wrong.
