So CL Semis has no La Liga or Premier League (best 2 teams in recent years) but 2 German and 2 French teams?

It’s a ‘any given day’ scenario, especially with the KO’s being one game.

You can't just take one random pandemic season and say that.

La Liga had it's run and the two top teams are broke.

I don't watch too much bundesliga, tried, but you can't tell me that league is better than watching the premier league every year.

The Lyon thing is just good timing I guess. They finished 7th I think. Won't even be in Europe unless they win it all. They won't.

Broke financially? While Barcelona seems a little like a billionaire living paycheck to paycheck, I think Real Madrid is healthy, COVID notwithstanding.

In my opinion.
The premier league is better to watch

Nah, Barcelona is in real trouble, both financially and from a squad perspective. That roster needed a complete overhaul and they used nearly 400 million in funds on 3 players that are either hurt all the time or don't fit what they do.

The best thing that Barca can do at this point is to nudge Messi out the door and rebuild without having to build a team around him. Xavi, Busquets, Iniesta all grew up playing with Messi. Not the case with the current squad.

Meh. The Premier League may be "better", but I think the Bundesliga is more entertaining. Would rather watch the average Bundesliga game over the average Premier League game.

As an English speaking American, I simply have no interest in watching teams from outside of England.

That being said MLS does nothing for me either.

I don’t disagree that Barcelona has financial problems because they’ve spent a shitload of money, although they can probably turn it around. I just wouldn’t group Real Madrid in with them

Not necessarily leagues but coaches to me.

If you have a shite team and are just hoping to sit back and not get relegated or finish “safe” that’s bullshite.

That’s why Atalanta is so cool. Serie A is rightfully so the most “boring” league and they finally said frick it with no resources and thrived.

Yeah, I want to watch good teams, and I want to watch batshit insanity, preferably together (e.g., Lucien Favre’s obsession with a central midfield of Axel Witsel and Julian Brandt). Way too much soccer out there to watch random who gives a frick games just because they’re from a certain league.

Atalanta was a good watch from this year. Nice to see them get as much hype as they did, although it helped that they were really competitive.
