They do not have "shitty places to live".
They have professional chefs who cook them whatever they want at every meal.
They live in nice apartments.
They have their tuition paid and it is worth thousands every year.
They receive $800 to $1000 per month in total cost of attendance money.
They all seem to have vehicles.
Their books are paid for.
Their tutors are free.
Their medical issues are paid for.
Stop with the poor pitiful BS. They are students not professionals and are more than fairly compensated.
Amen!
And Pay for Play is a misnomer. The schools will not be paying athletes. Very few athletic depts are in the black. NIL legislation will allow prominent athletes to make money outside the university from advertising, autograph signing etc. A small % of college football players will be able to take advantage of this is any significant way
The PAC 12 players request for 50/50 revenue split would result in those schools having to cancel all of their other sports and then still lose money.
Any college football player can go to Canada and try to play ball or go out and get a real job. Nobody is holding them hostage to play college ball
