I don’t see how. Are they going to do away with Ba Sing Se? There’s a specific city known for its walls and it’s ring cast system. Having lived in Beijing for 3 years, it’s going to be very hard to do that plot without referencing the city. Korea is very, very different from the Earth Kingdom in the show. That’s just the destruction of the universe as a whole if so.

Yeah the entire reason for Ba Sing Se still standing was because of it's walls.
Replacing the walls with say a DMZ line would be incredibly dumb
