My take now? If she wants to go, there’s nothing short of a chain that’s gonna hold her.

If she’s got the notion to start stepping out, she’ll do it behind your back. She’ll be meeting up when she goes to the grocery store. When she goes for a run. Any time she can get away.

So if she wants to go, let her be gone and find yourself freedom.

Sure it hurts. It will break you. But, like a sword that is made into shards and reforged, you can come back harder and sharper.

Your worth is not dependent on HER. You are your own Man. You have to be a strong father for your kids and for yourself. You can’t control her, you can only control YOU.

Don’t let the hate stay seeped in your veins. It’s a poison that will taint all your other relationships.

If she’s gone, let her be gone and move on. Don’t look back.

Trust me brother, I’ve walked this dark and lonely path, and the dawn will come as long as you keep on walking forward.

Man, I hope that I never have to go through that shite storm. I think if you've been through it, or been close to it, you see the mistakes that were made. Sometimes through no fault of one particular party, but it definitely gives you perspective.

Marriages are a lot of work, even good ones. And sometimes you can feel them going off the rails and you have to try to righten the ship, but it takes both of you.

My dear friend, that I've known my entire life, just had his parents divorce a month before their 47th wedding anniversary.
