re: Have you ever "Up and Quit" your job on impulse?

I walked out of a meeting with a client and my boss. My boss loved my design but when the client balked my boss flipped and told the client he hadn't seen the design and would fix it. See ya......he called me the next day and asked me to come back as he was just playing good cop. I went back but started my own design firm about 6 months later and took some of his clients with me. I guess what I'm saying is take some time to formulate a plan before you quit.
