It was suspended because of federal requirements. Sorry to tell y’all, but Congress is getting ready to extend federal unemployment by at least $400 a week until the end of the year. There’s over 20 million people unemployed mostly through no fault of their own.

There have almost 400,000 people currently receiving unemployment in Louisiana. I can’t imagine the workforce commission making a million phone calls a week to verify job searches. Unemployment max is only $222 a week after tax. That’s nothing.

I hope congress does not pass adding extra money to unemployment unless they give extra to people with SS.

They will wait four weeks to do it. People will be over this if they have a brain.
