on sunday i shot 35/40

on the front i should have been -2 or -3. hit fairways, hit greens, shot well. just don't know how to putt, never have.

back nine i didn't hit a single fairway. had to scrammble every hole practically, should have shot 38. dicked off on the last hole and got a double.

but the point is if im in the fairway all round, then i'm going low.

but i hit my 3wood 240-250 off the tee, so that would be how i would play it.

with all this in mind, i play for fun and never put the driver away. i wanna hit bombs bro.

Hahaha that’s my exact problem. When i’m in the fairway, my normal group is in trouble. When i’m not, it’s a long day lol. I haven’t met a 3 wood i can hit 250. I have a x2hot that’s always strait but 220-230 is all i can get out of it.

Depends on the tees you play to be honest.

If you play around 6400-6500 yards, the 3 wood is plenty. You'll hit 7 iron or less into almost every par 4; the down side is you're not reaching par 5s in 2.

If you push out closer to 7,000 yards, you'll need to hit driver to combat the longer par 4s on the card.
