This. Nazi Germany didn’t have shite on the Japs.

They really didn't. For some reason, we are taught much more about the European theater in school than the Pacific theater, but there is an easy case to be made for the WW2 era Japanese being the most evil society in the last 1000 years. The stories of what they did to POWs would make your skin crawl.

It amazes me how much they changed after the war despite having the same Emperor from 1926-1989.

ETA: If the Chinese ever decide to get revenge for what happened during this era, Japan will have absolute hell to pay. What they did to the Chinese is absolutely on par with what the Germans did to Jewish people.

So very true. Read "Flyboys:A True Story of Courage"

Flyboys: A True Story of Courage is a nonfiction book by writer James Bradley, and a national bestseller in the US. This book details a World War II incident of the execution and cannibalism of five of eight American POWs on the Pacific island of Chichi-jima, one of the Ogasawara Islands.

It was more Hideki Tojo running the show than the emperor anyways
