What do ya'll know about tax exempt status at Home Depot? What does it take to qualify? Is it a military thing? Do you need a tax exempt tax id number? My neighbor has some sort of Native American tax exemption, but I can't get any details out of him.

I opened a business account with them and it includes tax exemption. You have to send them a copy of your license.

If one is a Vet with a ID or on their DL's, they get 10% off. Lowes does too.

HD, you just ask at the register for a military discount, show your ID and you're G2G.
Lowe's, you ask but then have to verify that you registered thru customer service or online, that you're a Vet.

you aren't having to provide a tax exemption certificate? sounds like Home Depot is breaking the law here otherwise
