I have zero athletic ability. Which means my fat arse has to diet. Hopefully some people here know what I'm talking about because honestly the health/fitness board is more fitness than loss.

I purchased a smart scale the Arboleaf from Amazon.

It's great for tracking but the app/software only communicates with google fit and fitbit. So it's very limited.

I started walking and wanted to track that so I got a cheap step counter the Yamay smart watch.

Now to the problem. Google fit dumbly sync's the weight I entered from my smart watch instead of making the smart scale my preferred weight. It seems like a small thing but I wanted more of a central area to track everything. Is there a better way of doing this? I also use the google fit to sync my calorie loss with myfitnesspal. But it's not 100% right because I don't have the watch sync'd anymore due to it overriding my weight.

Anyone else have this solved? I really just wish you could choose which smart appliance sync'd which data.

I have a FitBit scale, a Garmin watch and sync weight to Garmin Connect via myfitnesspal. Fitbit and MFP sync, MFP and Garmin sync, so the data makes it over. It stinks they are all not compatible, but they are workable in my situation. I've had to remove access to apps from each other from time to time to get data flowing again, it's only a minor inconvenience and solved the problem. I really like having all of my data in Garmin's app for ease of viewing.

You don't need "athletic ability" to use an elliptical machine, stationary cycle or treadmill 4 or 5 times a week for 2 to 3 1/2 hours total time, and a general strengthening program of about 90 minutes in 3 sessions over a week.

Hell, that's how you develop a "modest" level of fitness from nothing.

This topic makes me instantly think of a fat woman wearing a fitbit.

I’ve lost 25lbs in about 6 weeks by doing Keto along with 16/8 intermittent fasting. I walk about 4-5 miles everyday.

Easiest thing I’ve ever done. Keto is just very low carbs, Intermittent fasting is easy, it’s just not eating between 8pm and noon the next day.
