True. The MIC is where a lot of career politicians and bureaucrats make their money while drifting between private business and their cushy government jobs. Comey made millions working for a defense contractor before returning to government as FBI Director.
To truly drain the Swamp you would have to limit the time politicians, lobbyists and bureaucrats could backstroke in the Swamp.

Unless you have spent a lot of time around DC and surrounding (norVA, Fredericksburg, Annapolis, Crofton, etc), and know the people, many whom live way above comfortably on the G....you will not understand The Swamp.
The Swamp has produced generational wealth for a lot of people on “both sides.”
Anyone threatening to disrupt The Swamp in any way....was and is destined to be hated beyond belief.
Swamp Creatures are worse than private-sector rich people in terms of their meanness and level of desperation that they can reach...because Swamp Creatures cannot thrive or even survive without The Swamp.
These people fear the real private sector in a major way.
As such, they worship The Swamp. They love Government.
