Google has been in the news over manipulating (best word I could come up with) search results. I decided just to check things out using “black lives matter”. What I was looking for was how much I had to type in before the search engine suggested “black lives matter”. I only did four, but this is what I found:

In bing - black l
In ecosia - black l
In baidu - black l
In google - bl

Yeah, I’m pretty bored right now.

This is why Google is so useful. That damn algo knew what you wanted in two letters. That's amazing.

If you want to be guided to leftist results, yes.

People may disagree but it is alarming. I heard something on the radio yesterday talking about this same thing. The host was making a point that to find a conservative news article through google (on whatever topic he was discussing), you have to go to page 4. Regardless of where you stand, the things that Google does is sketchy.

Guess you could always develop your own search engine?

That could be a problem, but in this case, they nailed it for you.

FWIW, I tried on Edge at work and Google still nailed it with "bl."
