New property I'm hunting in the Atlanta Suburbs. I'd guess 6 1/2. Just curious what you guys thought. He obviously isn't helping the gene pool out any more. Two other young deer running in his bachelor group.

Louie, when you see him, ask him his age.

If he’s something you wanna shoot then shoot him if you have opportunity. You don’t need our opinion.

They don’t allow rifle hunting in Fulton Co. A lot of them are fricking pets that never get killed when you typically see deer in high pressure areas. Total outlier from the rest of the state

I'll do that Will....

I was just curious if he was as old as some of the other guesses my hunting buddies and kids had. No need to be a dick. Have a Great Day.

It's Clayton County. No rifle hunting in Clayton, Dekalb, or Fulton. This is on a ton of acreage, so it's not necessarily an outlier. There is plenty of hunting pressure here. It is completely different than what you see happening in Fulton County...

3.5 at most, just not enough belly to think he could be older, to me

Summertime pics always hard. Most I could say is he’s mature. Meaning 3+. Could be a 3 year old with a wide frame, a 4-5 year old who is just lean from summer heat, or post mature. I doubt he’s the last category because I think he’d look a little more broken down through the shoulders and back. But I’m sure no expert. Just enjoy trying.

That's why I asked. All seem logical explanations to me gumbodawg. These will be a fun couple of months seeing what pops up on cameras. He isn't a deer I'm dying to shoot, but if he is older and needs to be removed. Someone will in our hunting club. Thanks for the honest input. Appreciated.

My guess is 4.5. Always difficult to tell with their summer bodies and will be a little easier come oct-nov.

Curious as to how that suburb hunting works? Is it if you live in the nearby neighborhood you can hunt or is it a pay a lease to hunt type thing?

I own a small portion of hardwoods that cannot be built upon. Noticed walking through the creek that there were some nice rubs. Put up a camera and saw some really nice deer.

Asked permission from my neighbor that has 10 plus acres and they agreed. They have a small horse pasture, no horses anymore.

These deer are on private land near the water authority. We have gained permission to hunt. Bigger herd, better quality than by the house.

If your going to start just ask permission. Most folks in the urban areas don't have enough acreage, but if they do then they don't seem to mind. As long as you take care of their property.

I've always explained it as, I work hard, don't have a lot of free time, and really just enjoy nature. Which is primarily why I hunt. It isn't really to shoot massive deer, it's nice, but I enjoy the peace.
