I would think it has less to do with health risk and more with new procedures for some. There are some who are probably at risk for health issues, so I get that. But I look at some of the CDC guidelines and think that could be enough to force a career change.

That’s without getting into the pay argument. But most teachers know what they’ll make before signing the papers. The pay sucks but it’s not frugal living.
