1972, George McGovern. Couldn’t stand Nixon but would have voted for him if I thought GM had a chance, my version of a protest vote.
Voted Democrat in Presidential elections until Bush the elder. When Hillary came out with her version of national health insurance I saw the light and changed my registration to Republican. Voted R ever since, even for those goofballs McCain and Romney.
