He did the right thing. His career was damned by him being picked by the raiders.

No.
Did you ever hear this about him?
They gave him blank game tape I guess. That Monday JRoc came to camp and they asked him how the weekend went, he said no prob coach I learned it all.

The tape was blank.

Doubt it.

The Raiders were a terrible organization at the time and he had significant work ethic issues.

He maybe been marginally better without the holdout but not much.

He was an embarrassment to himself and his legacy.

Not at all... He was what he was. No need to discuss an alternate outcome. Now if the question was, if he went to a team with better front office personnel and vets that could have made a difference, thats a different scenario, but I still say he would of flamed-out even playing for Bellicheck and the Pats...
He got the money and lived life... It is what it is. Im sure he has as much regret for not putting in the effort as much as we say he wasted his talent and opportunities.

I doubt it. He had a lot of other things that happened regardless.

No.

Getting millions before doing squat did him in at a young age.
Such money so young is a tough thing sometimes.

I don't think he'd have lived up to the hype but he might have had some different luck.

He has admitted that he wasn't committed. His work ethic screwed him so I don't think anything would have changed.

JaMarcus Russell has been thrown under the bus by most LSU fans. If he had been drafted by any other team, he would have had a stellar career. He was clearly a top prospect. His career difficulties were 95% not his fault.
