IDK what this latest deal is with her, and the particulars. Sounds like some folks who needed cuddles didn't get them and now have started a gossip campaign to trash her.

I really did think she was mildly entertaining. I occasionally watch her sit-com , back when it was on but rarely ever saw her talk show.

I think she's feeling the pressure to be something she's not, and to be honest, hasn't she already been there, done that, and gotten the approval from everyone? Now the same folks are asking her to do it all over again, and she's not having any of it.

Least, that's what I take from that video. Can't say I'm really following her too closely. Kinda have other stuff on my mind.

Oprah and Ellen are both double minorities. I personally suspect that Oprah is a triple minority, but I don't know that for an actual fact.

Here's 3 things that Oprah has that insulates her much more so than Ellen (IMO):

1) Oprah is much more powerful than Ellen.

2) Oprah has her "OWN" production company. Actually, more like a media empire.

3) Oprah is black. Not all minority designations are equal.

A very salient point. Oprah is a notorious bitch. Hell, the other day I saw a video with her and Colbert (I've never paid much attention to these people until recently for... reasons) where she was going on and on about how she cannot stand people chewing bubble gum in her presence. So much so that it is considered contraband substance on her production set. And in her front office. And in her home.

This isn't about Ellen simply being a bitch. She went from being one of the biggest in the business to being shut down over a phony virus, and now cancelled. And she doesn't appear to ever leave her home.

It's strange as hell.
