I have different experiences with bucks. Sept.-Oct. I have seen deer move 1-2 miles away. We will lose some and gain some. The vast majority do stay on the property and in the general area, though. I have only seen 1 actually move back during hunting season, and that was because he was wounded. A guy shot him with a bow and hit high and he survived.

The only thing I can think is they move back into the swamps in the fall until rut.

I usually see 50% of the bucks that were on camera in late august back on camera in december.
