Hillary, one of the least likable people on the planet, got millions more votes than Trump. Biden is only a slight step up, but a step up nonetheless. Trump isn't going to get as many "not-Hillary" votes this time around, plus he is up against a much less complacent bunch of liberal voters.

The only reason Trump stands a chance is because the Dems are stupidly running with Biden.

And Trump is not going to have a lot of positive trends to point to. This situation is 180 degrees different from when he ran for his first term. Anyone who feels like he's going to coast to a victory may have a surprise coming. He's given the democrats a shitload of content to use against him.

And I'll say this, he was the least objectionable/fricking terrifying of the options. Can you imagine a Bernie Sanders presidency?
