You have three issues, SFP. Because of the average age of death, most of the people dead would have died from the flu or some other respiratory illness in the same time frame. The "excess death" figure is very low. Add in all of the deaths that include car crashes and others that are just covid positive but not really a result of covid. And then add in all the "assumed" positives who come back negative but never get removed from the totals.

Even the CDC's total of 121,000 states "Table 1. Deaths INVOLVING coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), pneumonia, and influenza reported to NCHS by week ending date, United States. Week ending 2/1/2020 to 7/11/2020.*"

These are based on death certificates where the facility is an INCENTIVE to put covid as the cause or that it was involved. These same facilities are facing financial crisis due to lack of elective procedures. They get an extra 20k from medicare if it's covid related.
