Wyoming, Montana, and Utah get snow well into June at altitude. You definitely don’t want to go to even Colorado in April, I think April actually has the most snow for Colorado it’s just it gets warm and melts on and off so rarely gets thick like the winter.

I normally wait until April to ski for better rates. I've never heard of there being a lack of snow in April.
There is Colorado skiing until July 4 at Arapahoe Basin.
