Having a sale on certain products and limiting the amount one customer can buy is so incredibly different than a store limiting an item that went up in price. Limiting a sale item ensures that people who come into your store because of the sales circular you mailed out to them can buy the items contained within the circular. You will lose customers if they come in for a sale item and you regularly don't have it.

No shite. How long did your beef shortage/higher prices last? It also happens when you think there might be a shortage, regardless if the shortage actually happens or not.

I agree. Maybe grocery store owners in your shithole area are as stupid as the people buying up toilet paper, so they prepared for a shortage that never really happened.

Good for you. you probably know my dad, or at least have met him before in passing. I don't doubt you know more than i do. I dont doubt some places saw a hike in prices for a short time. What i don't buy is that there was some shortage of beef in this country. WHat likely happened was an overreaction, just like with the toilet paper, and had smarter heads prevailed throughout it, we wouldn't be talkign about this b/c no one would have any reason to.
