It's so weird because he seemed like a normal dude every time I went over there and had beers, but he's just a massive idiot online. It cost him some business because my dad didn't want to go there the last couple of times he visited me when I lived in NOLA based purely on him starting shite about a mascot.

It is dumbfounding to me why anyone who runs a business reliant upon the general public would take a firm public stance on any issue that is divisive. There is literally a 100% chance that you will lose some amount of business. Keep your mouth shut, provide a good product in a pleasant environment, and make money. It isn't a complicated process.
