gm made one of the best engines in modern history, the 5.3. But managed to screw it up with the cylinder deactivation which caused oiling problems. lets not forget to mention the 4l60E.....and 6L80E two of the most rebuilt transmissions on the planet. if you search up 10 speed transmissions fiat and ford teamed up to develop new technology and gm refused to join in. two of my buddies had tahoes for their wives and they have been nothing but trouble; everything from the transmissions, ac driers failing, air suspension, ball joints, lane departure systems, etc.

i watched a recent motortrend tv show and they ranked the ram 1st, the ford a close 2nd and even with a recent remodel the gm fell in 3rd by a large margin. the worst vehicle i have ever owner was a brand new gmc in 2010, never again.

Didn’t GM and Ford team up on the latest 9/10 speed trannies?
