The OP had a clearly misleading post. And without any verification most people in this thread just took that as confirmation of their worldview that this is a hoax.

And don't get me wrong there are PLENTY of people overreacting. But that doesn't excuse irrational, unsupported claims from the other side.

Both sides (Trump to some degree) are pretending like this virus will be here until the end of the year and we’ll magically have a vaccine for 350 million people

Absolutely no one is talking about how to live with this over the long term. Advocating for more shutdowns and closures is absurd. We can’t afford to just dump 5 trillion on a biannual basis to keep from having bread lines.
