Same here. I moved 2,500 miles to live in a state where it is legal. The weather and scenery are a bonus, but the food (aside from pizza and burgers) really seems to suck in this part of the country.

In Portland, they have a few legit places for some cajun/creole food. The Asian food is better in this part of the country. By far.

The few Asian places that I've tried in Bend have been pretty bad. It seems like you have to go to Taco Bell or Del Taco to get ground beef in Mexican food.

I tried barbecue at a place called Baldy's the other day that honestly wasn't even close to being as good as the crap that you'd buy in a plastic tub in a grocery store.

As far as fast food goes, I feel like I traded chains like Bojangles, Captain D's, Fazoli's, and Steak N Shake for a Jack In The Box.

Still love living in this part of the country, though.
