Affected person is contagious 2 days prior to symptoms. Very low likelyhood of surface to person transmission. Understand who they had close contact with. Close contact being face to face (such as eating lunch or at a bar)or in a confined space (riding in a car together or In a small office)for a period of time. If the office has good social distancing controls I wouldn’t notify anyone. If there is a lot of interaction then I would only notify the people they came directly in contact with. Anyone they came into contact with should be showing symptoms within 5 days. If not they are likely good or asymptotic. Asymptotic is much less likely to be contagious. Keep any close contacts out of work for 14 days.

I wouldn’t rely strictly on testing. If you test too soon you can have a false negative.
