quote:

According to Pew Research, 2.7 million American children have at least one parent incarcerated. The data, also suggest that 11.4 percent of Black children have a parent incarcerated to the 1.8 percent of white children who have at least one parent in prison. The data states that “non-violent offenses comprise two-thirds of the convictions reflected by these incarceration rates, with about one-quarter coming from a drug offense.”

Guess what....... These people did not vote for that LAW.

Look at Strom. And yet you and I were told off by the morons on SECRant that Strom's name needed to go from USC's Wellness Center.

I don't trust either party. Republicans aren't innocent. The Republican party have done things in the past too. Their war on drugs legislation was a total sham directed towards the black community which was continued by the Democrats and their War on Crime. History has proven that both parties have crafted laws that negatively impacted the black community dating all the way back to slavery, redlining, Jim Crow, War on Drugs, Crime Bill, Mass Incarceration, etc. Some of these were pushed by Democrats and some by Republicans.

I'm sure Grand Wizard Byrd voted for it quite enthusiastically.

Look at all those racist “R”s who voted AGAINST this law. Democrats are masters at covering up their racist acts and label R’s as racist.

I mean the ones who left the Senate under less-than-honorable circumstances.

Seriously. How fricking much of a retard or evil human being do you need to be to have the "three strikes provision' affect your life.

The Republicans on that list did not vote for the "Crime Bill" and rightly so in my opinion because of the "federal assault weapons ban" and the ridiculous amount of pork spending for pet Democrat projects.

Guess it's nice to live in a perfect world with glass houses...

The younger brother of a kid I went to school with from Kindergarten to High school graduation was sentenced to 25 years in jail at the age of 22.

His crime? He stole a welding machine. But... he had a previous arrest for drug possession and he had drugs on him when the police caught him for the robbery.

Do you think 25 years in prison is justified for a dumb kid addicted to drugs who stole a $600 welding machine?

First, I am skeptical or your story. I bet there is a lot more to it.

Were these federal crimes, because that is what the Crime Bill addressed or state felonies? How much time did he actually serve?

Give me some actual evidence and I will give you my opinion.

And in my opinion I live in a world where I constantly see violent criminals released without doing much time, not this bullshite of all of this over sentencing.
