Hospitalizations are up, but still not nearly as bad as they were at the height of it. I haven't spoken to my friends and family in the hospitals about Covid in a few weeks. I'd be curious to know if they are feeling an actual surge or whether this is just a slight side effect of opening up.

I have a teenager at lsu. Half the people she knows has it right now.
But that wouldnt explain hospitals as all of them either have no symptoms or just slight head cold.

How would your friends be feeling a surge? It’s 41 statewide. If that type of increase threatens our hospitals, shame on us.
Also, screw the click bait headline stating “startling spike in hospitalizations”. We had a decrease yesterday. One day does not make a trend.
