The problem is, we don't have capitalism, meaning in the traditional sense. The government has been funding zombie companies now for a decade+, why does anyone think Tesla exist. Its the highest capped automaker and has never made an annual profit in 20 years, and sucks in all the free-bees from federal, state and local governments... than the Fed keeps them alive with zero interest rates.
Its cronyism.

When the central bank and Treasury are giving out loans and buying up the entire corporate capital stack, productivity becomes mostly irrelevant.
