All the politicians who represent the area will have a say in the initial government.
They probably will but its 100% at the discretion of the governor. He could appoint Gravy Chambers as mayor if he wanted to so long as he lives in the district.

As far as drainage it is a joke.
Neglecting the area is not superior drainage.
The City Parish has neglected the area for years.
If you talk to any council member they will tell you the present EBRP DPW is not large enough to handle the present demands with this area and whole parish.
I'm curious how you think the South Baton Rouge area is neglected when compared to Livingston Parish. This is mind-boggling to me. The area has had a lot of upgrades. Its obviously not as much as we'd all like but its all relative when you're talking about politics and distribution of resources. more focus was put on South Baton Rouge than North Baton Rouge.
Look - the ship sailed. A new city is formed. I just think it's hilarious that people think they're going to get noticeably more. The resources and time are finite.

You obviously didn’t vote for SG but you are absolute in your belief that you know why myself and others supported it. For me it was about dollars. Property values protecting my hard earned dollars.
Try and argue against the fact that the growing areas of the metro areas have the best public schools. Families with young kids face investing in private schools or bricks and mortar in better districts. With less people looking to buy values tumble. Look at Sherwood Forest.
I’m worried about my investment while my son is moving to Zachary.
This would have never happened if they would have fixed the damn schools.
If you want to talk about misleading or flat out lying. The entire run up to the election, SWB and others told us how our taxes were going to rise. After the election we find out there will be a forty million surplus. I guess that money is the piggy bank for the rest of the parish.

Probably because you keep bringing up Livingston parish to people that live in East Baton Rouge. You must be stoned or drunk or both.
